I got into wheelchair rugby having tried Invictus type rugby. There was no pathway for me to continue in the sport until GBWR ran a test tournament aimed for more inclusive rugby for players with different mobility needs.

However, 5s rugby was born in October 2016 and so I created Team Endeavour. Whilst the team has gone through many forms since then, it stayed true to its basic principle – sport for all. I am very proud of that.

The benefits of sport have helped me physically and mentally.  I was suffering with my hidden wounds from service but the sport gives me purpose and for my family a part of the old Roch is back.
